BuyerSide is an early-stage Australian project building an AI agent for home buyers. This page explains what we keep from this preview and why. Questions, deletion requests or complaints: research@buyerside.au.
What we keep
- Your conversation with BuyerSide: what you type, its replies, and when and whether each reply worked.
- “What matters to you”: short notes BuyerSide picks up from your messages (such as your budget, areas or must-haves), plus any changes you make to them. They are kept with your conversation and deleted with it.
- If you ask for early access, your email address. It is kept by our email provider, separately from your conversation.
- To limit abuse and cost, a scrambled form of your network address (never the address itself), deleted within a day.
- In your browser, a private link to your latest conversation so it reopens when you return. If a send is interrupted, that message is also kept in this tab until confirmed, so you can retry after reloading. Starting fresh or deleting the conversation clears it.
Please don’t share identifying or sensitive details, such as health information.
Why
To reply to you, and to understand what buyers need so we can build BuyerSide. We review conversations, including with AI analysis. We don’t sell your information or use it for advertising.
Who else handles it
These services run the site for us and process data on our behalf, some overseas:
- OpenAI (United States) writes replies and helps analyse conversations.
- TypeSafe AI (United States), using Jev, picks out details for “What matters to you”. When enabled, it receives the message you just sent or the note text you add or change—not your whole conversation or our private access link. Your text may still contain personal information. Jev does not write the chat replies.
- Supabase stores conversations in a database in Japan.
- Vercel hosts the site. If traffic measurement is on, Vercel Web Analytics counts visits without cookies and never receives your messages or email.
- Loops (United States) stores early-access emails and sends updates, each with an unsubscribe link.
Providers may retain copies under their own policies. TypeSafe’s standard terms do not set a fixed retention period or provide zero-data-retention. They prohibit training model weights on customer data without consent, but permit processing for service delivery, telemetry, abuse monitoring and legal obligations. See its data processing addendum and customer agreement.
How long
New conversations are kept for up to a year, then deleted automatically. Conversations started earlier keep the period they were shown at the time. Early-access emails stay until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove them.
Deleting your conversation
In the same browser, use Privacy & deletion under the message box. It deletes the conversation and anything we noted from it. Lost access? Email us roughly when you chatted and what it was about, and we’ll find and delete it.
These controls delete BuyerSide’s records; they do not automatically delete provider-held copies. Contact us for help with a request concerning those copies.
Not advice
BuyerSide is an AI preview. It can be wrong, and it doesn’t give legal, financial, inspection or other professional advice.
